Ysolda and me - part I

Oud nieuws maar in het kader van "Marijgje-gaat-Ysolda-ontmoeten" toch nog wat aandacht. Hieronder de nieuwsbrief van Ysolda van december jl., met hierin de Rose Red Baret. Deze baret heb ik in november 2008 gebreid en droeg hem tijdens een dagje museumbezoek in Amsterdam, toen ik daar geinterviewd werd voor national tv! De foto werd notabene als achtergrond bij het item gebruikt. Tja, daar sta je, lang  niet in the skys genoeg met slechts een baret, bij een tv zender waar ik liever niet mee geassocieerd wordt.... Ach, voor het brei-archief heeft het een leuke foto opgeleverd. Ysolda heeft een still van de reportage gemaakt, wat mij niet lukte. Eind december kreeg ik de vraag of mijn foto gebruikt mocht worden voor de nieuwsbrief; doen toch?!   Weekly pattern sale featuring Rose Red Hi ! This week the featured pattern is Rose Red, a slouchy beret featuring a lace and cable pattern that grows organically out from a centre flower. Perfect as a last minute present or a little something for yourself over the holidays. This beret looks fantastic in the original red but also works well in a mulitude of colours as shown by debrasky's aray of colour, and this isn't even all of her Rose Reds... Rose Red looks adorable on babies, lhooton made the smallest size at a tighter gauge as a birthday gift for her friend's daughter. Fridica's Dark Rose looks classic styled with tweed and a pair of modified Veyla mitts out of the same yarn. And maybe if you're lucky your Rose Red will end up on national TV like marijgje's did. Rose Red is half price for the next week: just enter the code "beret" when purchasing the pattern. Look out for another special offer next week. Hopefully all your holiday knitting is going to plan...  Usually we're in a total panic by this point in December but testing out some of the Whimisical Little Knits 3 patterns over the last couple of months has filled up our gifting boxes and put us ahead! Ysolda's busy as ever working on new designs due out next year, and Whimiscal Little Knits 3 is in the final proofs stage with the printer.  If all goes according to plan, they'll start printing this week and we can't wait to see it!
